JoJo Draws Logo

Goal

Being an artist means you need to have an easily recognizable logo that people can look at and immediately know that you’re said artist associated with that logo. The goal here was to update my current logo to something that seemed more unique.

Process/Learning

I had made several sketches, narrowing it down to the one you see here. Then, I used vector lines through Clip Studio Paint to create the form, that way it was easier to manipulate, moving on to create the primary and secondary color palettes.

What really made me scratch my head was the initial sketches. Trying to think of something simple, unique, and recognizable was all circling in my mind while I was sketching. Something else that you never really think about when making something like this is how the logo will look at different sizes, so making sure the lines were thick enough to be seen at small sizes was also learned during this project.

Conclusion

Creating one image that makes up your entire artistic personality is not the aim, I learned. Rather, it is the goal of creating that recognizable form and having the ability to showcase it in many different varieties so that it becomes associated with you, as an artist. With this logo, I feel this has been achieved, with still room to grow.
